The OMV Gala is an evening of cocktails, dinner, an auction and fellowship to support OMV Seminarians! This year’s theme will be Nunc Coepi “where a lifetime of service begins.” We’ll celebrate our whole OMV community, honoring those who are called to serve and sharing the joy and hope that connect us all.

Those without tickets can still be a part of this joyful annual celebration to honor and thank our Oblates of the Virgin Mary seminarians, brothers and priests who have dedicated their lives to service with a donation to the Seminarian Fund.
Keynote Speaker
We’re excited to welcome Fr. Nnamdi Moneme, OMV, as this year’s keynote speaker. Currently on a missionary assignment in the Philippines, Fr. Nnamdi serves in the Congregations’ Retreat Ministry and in the House of Formation for novices and theologians in Antipolo, Philippines.
He is originally from Nigeria and specialized in Ecclesiology at St. John’s Seminary in Boston, USA.
Gala Chair
Jim Jessee has worked at MFS Investment Management since the mid 1980s and was a co-head of MFS’ Global Distribution from 2011-2017.
Jim learned of the work of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary through attending Mass at the St Francis Chapel in the Prudential Center, which is in the same complex as the MFS offices in the Back Bay of Boston. He was attracted by its serenity and intimate setting in such close proximity to his daily workplace.
Emcee
Fr. Shawn Monahan, OMV, will be our emcee for the evening! Ordained as a priest for the Oblates of the Virgin Mary in 2002, Fr. Shawn has been involved in a variety of apostolic ministries since then. He’s served as a parish priest in New Jersey and Illinois, a certified retreat and spiritual director at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and as a Novice Master helping young men discern their vocation at Our Lady of Grace Seminary.
You may also recognize him from our latest virtual workshop, The Path to Healing Our Broken Hearts, where he leads us on a healing journey to the Lord’s compassionate love.
